(Josie Sayz:
Another Throw-Back-Thursday. This old poem of mine popped into my head on my
way to work this morning. It’s a pretty funny poem (to me) that I wrote when I was
sixteen. It’s about a guy who used to hang out with my group of friends at
college, but he was so phoney and fake and it used to really frustrate me. All
he was interested in were girls thinking he was cool. He’s a popular local
musician, but only because the girls all think he’s hot. I swear his only
followers are girls. Grr, just thinking about him gets me angry. I guess I
still need that falling piano. I did draw an accompanying picture; I’ll have to
see if I can find it.)
Sitting there waiting with nothing at all,
I was wishing that piano should just fall –
On you.
Sitting inside on a sunny day,
Wishing that it would just rain –
On you.
It’s not nice.
(No, no, oh no)
I know it’s not nice
(No, no, no-no)
To wish hurt onto you.
(No, no. Oh no, no)
After all you’re insane
And you’ve only got yourself to blame.
Shame on you!
You’re standing over there with your friends,
I saw a bee and I wanted to send it –
To you.
Over there where you always sit
With a bow and arrow I just want to hit –
You.
It’s not nice.
(No, no, oh no)
I know it’s not nice
(No, no, no-no)
To wish hurt onto you.
(No, no. Oh no, no)
After all you’re insane
And you’ve only got yourself to blame.
Shame on you!
At the train station where you’re standing,
A piano should start falling down –
On you.
Standing on stage playing your guitar loud,
I wish a giant spider would just fall –
On you.
It’s not nice.
(No, no, oh no)
I know it’s not nice
(No, no, no-no)
To wish hurt onto you.
(No, no. Oh no, no)
After all you’re insane
And you’ve only got yourself to blame.
Shame on you!
Nothing you can do
Can save you now.
Hiding behind your bleach blond hair
Can’t save you now…
It’s not nice.
(No, no, oh no)
I know it’s not nice
(No, no, no-no)
To wish hurt onto you.
(No, no. Oh no, no)
After all you’re insane
And you’ve only got yourself to blame.
Shame on you!
