(Josie Sayz: This poem doesn’t
feel finished, but the more I force myself to work on it, the less natural it
feels. This poem gets stuck in my head all of the time and I’m often singing it
to myself around the office. I hope it finds itself to the person I wrote if
for.)
I wanna be cosy with you,
It’s my
favourite thing to do.
I wanna
be cosy, cosy with you.
Outside it’s dark and cold
And the
nights are getting old,
And I
just want to be home next to you.
I had a
hard day at work
And I coffee stained my shirt,
And I could not wait to get outta there.
Now that I’m at home, there’s only one thing I want to do.
Dim the light and chill,
It’s my favourite thing to do.
I wanna be cosy, cosy with you.
Grab a blanket, light a fire
And some candles, that’s our style.
I wanna be cosy, cosy with you.
I wanna be cosy with you,
It’s my favourite thing to do.
I wanna be cosy, cosy with you.
