adventurer! Welcome back, and for those of you who are new to my blog, I’m
Josie and I say things. Simple. Speaking of simple things, I have a simple,
straight forward solution to the world’s current food crisis. I don’t
understand why more people aren’t doing it. This is revolutionary. You will
never be queuing up in the supermarket or grocery store for huge bags of
ambient food items ever again.
You can grow your own pasta, at home. How? What do you need to do? “You said, ‘simple.’
How can this possibly be simple?” I hear you ask. It’s because the world governments
have been trying to hide this from us all. They don’t want you growing all of
your own food from home. How could they squeeze you for every penny, as they do
in the supermarket, if you rarely needed to venture inside?
You can grow your own pasta at home, with my very simple, easy to follow
method. First, you will need to venture into a supermarket and purchase the
pasta of your choosing, for one last time. You can do this with spaghetti, penne,
macaroni, fusilli, farfalle, you name it, this will work. Okay, so you have
your pasta, now you will need some plant pots and soil.
So what do you do with such a strange array of items? You plant your pasta in
the plant pots, in the same way as you would seeds or small flower bulbs. You
plant them, cover them in soil, keep them on the windowsill or somewhere where
they will receive natural light and you water them regularly – not too often
now. Try not to let the soil dry out, but at the same time, do not over
saturate them with too much water.
Give them a few weeks and you will start to see small shoots of pasta peering
through the soil, just like you would with flowers or when growing your own
fruit and vegetables. Wait a several more weeks, and continue to water them, as
necessary, and you will find that the pasta you have planted has begun to grow.
Sticks of spaghetti, swirls of fusilli and sproutlings of farfalle will fill
your window ledges. Before you know it, you will have grown more than a family
sized portion of your favourite, beloved pasta.
You can try this technique any variety of pasta, noodles and rice, which is a
large staple of most people’s diets.
